New golf campaign tees off

Golfers from across the country are being encouraged to test their abilities on Tasmania’s world-class golf courses in a new marketing campaign launched by Tourism Tasmania.

The campaign invites golf enthusiasts to experience Tasmania’s top-ranked public golf courses including Cape Wickham and Ocean Dunes on King Island and Barnbougle’s Lost Farm and The Dunes located on the north east coast of Tasmania.

Course rankings are a key driver of destination choice for golfers and the world-ranking reputation of these four courses, combined with their stunning, rugged coastal beauty present a compelling reason for golf enthusiasts to visit Tasmania for their next golfing holiday.

The campaign is aimed at capturing the attention of golfers across Australia including advertising in leading Australian golf publications and websites, such as Golf Digest and Golf Australia alongside targeted digital advertising. Special packages and deals with conversion partners are also featured on the campaign website to entice golfers to book their next golf adventure in Tasmania.

Research shows that visitors that come to Tasmania to pursue interests such as golfing are more likely to stay longer and spend more, which benefits our regional communities and the broader visitor economy.

The campaign is the latest installation of Tourism Tasmania’s Unordinary Adventures program, aimed at stimulating regional dispersal of visitors by targeting travellers in the areas of mountain biking, walking, golf and fly fishing, all of which offer world-class experiences in Tasmania.
