Content production register

Professional photographers, videographers, social media content creators, writers and community engagement specialists interested in working with us can apply to join our Production Register (Multi Use List).

The Multi Use List is a register of pre qualified contractors approved to provide professional content production services to Tourism Tasmania. We engage contractors on an as needed basis, with the demand for services varying. We do not guarantee minimum service level agreements.

Content production

We encourage professional photographers, videographers, social media content creators and copywriters to submit applications to join the register. You can apply for multiple categories by ticking the relevant boxes on the application form. We are looking for content producers who can reflect the meaning of Come Down For Air and represent the Tasmanian tourism brand through their work. View our campaigns page for inspiration.

Social media engagement

Our social media channels are a primary, ongoing brand touchpoint for many of our target audience and an opportunity to build meaningful consumer engagement and advocacy. This includes daily engagement from our audience through asking questions, sharing experiences and searching for their next travel inspiration.

We are in direct communication every day with potential, current and loyal visitors, as well as industry and locals. We inspire, encourage and guide their experience of Tasmania, as well as providing invaluable utility that serves as a meaningful connection with our brand. Consistent and quality engagement from our accounts also directly increases the reach potential of future content on our pages.

How to apply

To apply to join the register, fill in the application form (which includes a creative assessment component) and provide the necessary supporting documents. Once complete, return your application to production.register@tourism.tas.gov.au

Applications for the Production Register are open continuously to all content producers and assessed quarterly by an internal panel.

For applications to be assessed, all required information must be received. The creative assessment will be reviewed and if the panel considers that the response reflects Come Down For Air and represents the Tasmanian tourism brand, the contractor will be added to the register.

Most procurements through the Production Register are made by direct sourcing based on skill set requirements for each job.

When a contractor is approved to the Production Register, we establish a skills matrix detailing their skills and areas of specialty. We use this to match the requirements from internal creative briefs with suitable contractors. Quotes are sought from suitable contractors and assessed based on availability, value for money and budget. For Social Media Community Engagement, this is a fixed hourly rate.

If there are no suitable contractors on the Production Register, the Content Studio may source a contractor externally. This is in line with Treasurer’s Instructions for low value procurements up to $100,000. A copy of the standard agreement used to procure content production and social media community engagement services can be viewed here.

Individual procurements will be tallied and if cumulative spend exceeds $100,000, a contract agreement will be entered into should services still be required.
