Visitor data snapshot December 2025

In this Visitor Data Snapshot, we cover the latest results from the Tasmanian Visitor Survey for the year ending December 2025. You will find a breakdown of record annual visitation (1.386 million visitors) and spend ($3.710 billion), along with performance across our three major interstate markets of Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland. We also look at international visitor trends, regional results across the south, north, north west, east coast and west coast, and accommodation demand from both the commercial and short stay sectors.

The snapshot also includes intrastate travel by Tasmanians, covering overnight trips and day trips drawn from Tourism Research Australia's new Domestic Tourism Statistics collection, as well as tourism's broader economic contribution to the state. Whether you are tracking how your region performed, understanding where your visitors are coming from or benchmarking against statewide trends, this report provides the headline figures.
