Tasmania road trip with Evry Drive
Wildbonde Media and Evry Drive
We've launched our new electric vehicle (EV) travel guide to support visitors with travelling around Tasmania in an EV, and you’re invited to share it with travelling guests.
The guide, located on our Discover Tasmania website, covers getting to Tasmania with an EV or hiring one on arrival, our charging network, road trip planning, and other practical tips and FAQs.
Have a read of the guide and feel free to provide it to any guests travelling in an EV.
Meanwhile, if you’re a small to medium tourism businesses looking to become EV ready, you can now apply for a new Electric Vehicle Destination Charging Grant Program. The $250,000 program supports the installation of destination chargers for overnight visitors, putting you on the map for travellers to explore our regional areas in an EV.
The initiative will be delivered in two rounds, with total grant funding of $125,000 available for Round 1. Grants of up to $2,500 per charger are available, for a maximum of four chargers per business. Applications for Round 1 will be open from 3 July until 31 August 2026.
