Tourism Tasmania’s Trade, Partnerships and International team led Tasmanian tourism operators at Tourism Australia Marketplace South East Asia (AMSEA) in Kuala Lumpur last month, a biennial business to business event that brings together tourism operators from across Australia to meet with key travel trade representatives and distribution partners from Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand and the Philippines.
Tasmanian tourism operators had the opportunity to join a Singapore extension and connect with an additional 60 Aussie Specialist travel agents, luxury travel advisors and product managers, to further open up international business opportunities in one of our key international markets.
While in Singapore, we trained Aussie Specialist agents on Tasmanian destinations and products at a dedicated Tasmania Showcase event, and then tested their knowledge during an interactive Q&A session.
Together, we connected with 147 travel buyers and distribution partners from the South East Asia region.
Tourism Tasmania also met with airlines and other potential trade partners during the program, continuing to build the commercial relationships that open doors for Tasmanian industry.
Becoming international travel trade ready opens a range of opportunities for your tourism business. If you are considering becoming international travel trade ready, Tourism Tasmania can help.
