Tasmanian Tourism Conference, Launceston
TICT
We've concluded two great days at the Tasmanian Tourism Conference in Launceston, reflecting on what we've achieved and looking ahead to the industry's priorities.
The Premier used the occasion to launch two milestone action plans that will shape the next four years of Tasmania's visitor economy:
Developed through T21, our long standing partnership between government and industry, the 4 Year Action Plan to 2030 and Beyond sets out five focus areas: building the Tasmanian brand, growing Tasmanian experiences, accelerating major and business events, strengthening access into the state, and investing in infrastructure that drives demand.
The Cruise Shipping Action Plan sets a clear direction for the cruise sector. The plan focuses on growing value over volume, regional dispersal and growing visitation out of peak season into the shoulder seasons.
Alongside the two plans, we also released the latest 2030 Visitor Economy Strategy progress report (Jan to June 2026), showing how far we've come under the current strategy and setting the baseline for the work ahead.
