Australia's Top Tourism Town and Top Tour Guide Awards are a national celebration of regional tourism, recognising the destinations and people that make travel beyond Australia's capital cities so compelling. The awards cover three town size categories alongside a dedicated Top Tour Guide category.
To reach the national awards at Parliament House in September, Tasmanian towns must first take out Gold at the state level through the Tasmanian Tourism Awards. Judging combines online customer reviews, public votes and assessment by an industry panel.
