Tourism Tasmania offers a range of services to the Tasmanian tourism industry as well as provides support and funding to tourism associations and groups.


Tourism Tasmania promotes Tasmania as a destination in domestic and select international markets. It also promotes Tasmania and its tourism experiences through co-operative marketing campaigns with partners including airlines, tour operators, wholesalers, inbound tour operators, in-market trade partners and Tourism Australia. Tourism Tasmania also supports visits by traditional and new media to experience Tasmania and publish positive editorial, blogs and media stories about their experiences.


Tourism Tasmania works with travel wholesalers and retailers to improve their knowledge and understanding of Tasmania and Tasmanian tourism experiences. Tourism Tasmania also helps wholesalers and retailers up-sell and extend people's visits.


Tourism Tasmania collects and analyses research on visitors to Tasmania and on our visitor markets. The Tasmanian Visitor Survey (TVS), managed by Tourism Tasmania, is a comprehensive survey of visitors to Tasmania. Tourism Tasmania also publishes research on consumer behaviour and market trends.


Tourism Tasmania provides a comprehensive news service for Tasmania's tourism industry. It's free Tourism Talk newsletter for industry includes the latest tourism industry news, upcoming marketing opportunities, information on workshops and seminars, the latest visitor statistics and more.
