Northern tourism working group provides update on the creation of a new regional tourism organisation
On Monday 23 January, the Northern Regional Tourism Working Group issued a communiqué to their local tourism industry regarding progress towards the creation of a new regional tourism organisation for northern Tasmania. The communiqué provides a series of questions and answers to a number of important issues like the timeline for creation of the new regional tourism entity, the industry consultation process, regional tourism structure, funding the new organisation and governance issues. While the attached communiqué provides an overview of the RTO project at this point in time, it clearly states that no decisions have been made and that extensive consultation and industry engagement will occur over the next couple of months.
