Office of the CEO

The Office of the CEO provides vital support to the Board of Directors, the Chief Executive and the ‘frontline’ business units within Tourism Tasmania. It manages the business of the Board of Directors, undertakes special projects and provides policy, legislative, resource and administrative advice.

In particular it:

  • Works to integrate government policy within the greater department.
  • Chairs the Tourism Development Steering Committee – a forum that brings together those Heads of Agencies with primary tourism and development responsibilities
  • Carries out a broad range of national responsibilities that support Tourism Tasmania’s participation in the Australian Standing Committee on Tourism, the Tourism Ministers Council and Chief Executive forums and
  • Liaises with the tourism industry both at local and national level.
