Our Three-year Business Strategy

Welcome to "New Directions for Our Island ". Tourism Tasmania - Three-year Business Plan 2006-2009 cover

New Directions is our blueprint for the next three years, and provides Tourism Tasmania with its agenda for change.

This important new vision and strategic direction for Tourism Tasmania was shared with the tourism industry in late November 2006 and pledges our commitment to being a more focused, more strategic and more innovative organization. It demonstrates how we will work with industry to jointly deliver marketing and development programs to drive benefits for Tasmania from domestic and international tourism.

To align the business with this new direction, a new structure has been developed comprising the key functions of Organisational Development and Strategy, Commercial (bringing together communications, destination and digital marketing, and distribution) and Infrastructure and Industry Development. We will implement this new structure gradually over the next few months to deliver the new direction.
