Felicia Mariani commenced as Chief Executive Officer of Tourism Tasmania on 30 January 2006.

For the past two and a half years Felicia has led Tourism Tasmania through significant change and created a new organisation poised to respond to the new world of travel and tourism. Prior to this she spent 15 years working in key marketing and communications roles within the tourism, leisure and entertainment industries. This experience spans both public and private sectors and ranges from multi-national corporations to family run businesses. She brings to the Chief Executive Officer role extensive knowledge of the tourism sector, including regional tourism with a particular strength in marketing and distribution.

Prior to this she played major branding, marketing and public relations roles with Connex Group Australia following the privatisation of Victoria’s public transport system, managed the marketing efforts of a prestigious Melbourne theatre group, and orchestrated senior marketing and communications projects for major Australian domestic tourism initiatives.

Felicia also managed, directed and coordinated Tourism Victoria’s multi-million dollar national advertising campaign, and managed the introduction and implementation of the Regional Cooperative Marketing Campaign.
