CALL FOR BIDS FOR TOURISM PROMOTION PLAN COOPERATIVE MARKETING GRANT PROGRAM
The next round of the State Government’s Tourism Promotion Plan Cooperative Marketing grant program opened today, with up to $350,000 available for cooperative marketing.

The Minister for Tourism, Arts and the Environment, Paula Wriedt, said the grant program was just one of several tourism opportunities to come out of the $16 million Tourism Promotion Plan.

“These grants will give tourism operators and associations a real opportunity to maximise their existing budgets by forming partnerships and aligning themselves to the work of the wider regions,” Ms Wriedt said.

This is the second year of the Tourism Promotion Plan Cooperative Marketing grant program, which is spreading benefits right around the State.

In the previous round, $178,174 was allocated to projects including web site developments in the south, east and north-west, cooperative marketing arrangements for the Tamar Valley and a television promotional campaign for the Heritage Highway.

“Cooperative Marketing grants are just another example of how the State Government’s $16 million Tourism Promotion Plan is providing practical, on-the-ground support to the Tasmanian tourism industry,” Ms Wriedt said.

“The Tourism Promotion Plan is about supporting great tourism experiences for visitors and marketing them in ways that maximise the tourism returns.”
