MINISTER TO MEET TAMAR VALLEY TOURISM OPERATORS
The Minister for Tourism, Arts and the Environment, Paula Wriedt, is looking to convene a meeting with Tamar Valley Tourism operators in the next few weeks.
There is a lot of misinformation going on about Gunns proposed Pulp Mill, and I recognise operators have concerns and I want to sit down and discuss these issues with them,” Ms Wriedt said.
Ms Wriedt also said her Department is doing a significant amount of work in preparation – should the proposed pulp mill be approved by Parliament.
“It’s important to be prepared for a project of this size and my Department has been working on such things as looking at the impacts on accommodation, Tourism operations and the environment.
“We would be negligent in our duties if we didn’t do such work.”
