Tourism Tasmania, Regional Tourism Associations, Drysdale TAFE, and other industry groups provide networking, marketing and training opportunities.

Professional training will help equip you with the skills necessary to be successful in the tourism industry.

Cradle Coast Authority is Regional Tourism Authority

Northern Tasmania Development is Regional Tourism Authority

Industry Council Tasmania is the peak body that represents and acts for the Tasmanian tourism industry. Its mission is to provide a strategic direction and united voice for the sustainable development and growth of the Tasmanian tourism industry.

Tasmanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TCCI) is Tasmania's peak business organisation with a state-wide membership drawn from all industry sectors. It provides effective leadership for employers and delivers a range of relevant and quality services to the business community.

Events Tasmania provides opportunities for event education and training in Tasmania such as accredited training courses, conferences and forums as well as workshops.

University of Tasmania offers one of the widest range of courses in Australia (58 undergraduate courses). The University has a formal partnership with the State Government and works with both Local and State Government to develop Tasmania economically, socially and culturally. It offers a three-year undergraduate course and post-graduate studies in tourism.

Drysdale Institute of Tafe conducts a wide variety of full-time and part-time courses across the spectrum of the tourism industry. The courses range from three-year management diploma courses to basic skills training programmes.

National Training Information Service: the official national register of information on vocational education and training courses, qualifications, training packages, competency standards and training organisations.

Mentoring Services

Mentor Resources of Tasmania consists primarily of retired, successful business people who are willing to provide some mentoring and guidance to businesses in identified areas.

Enterprise Centres

Enterprise Centres provide free and confidential information, guidance and advice to small businesses. An Enterprise Centre can assist with business planning and can provide practical self-help publications, mentoring programs, referrals to specialist program and help develop management skills.

Staying in touch with Tourism Tasmania

Tourism Talk is Tourism Tasmania fortnightly newsletter. It contains all the latest issues related to tourism in Tasmania. Tourism Talk is distributed free online via an automated email. To join the mailing list you need to subscribe on the Tourism Tasmania corporate web site.

Natural State News is a free regular update on the latest news and events in Tasmanian tourism. Tourism Tasmania welcomes new subscribers to Natural State News and encourages the use of its content in editorials.
